Hack@MI 2020 The first hackthon for STEM(A) focused on a smart and sustainable future | pre-registration opening on the 3rd of February

What is HACK@MI?

Open Search Network is working with the City of Milan on the first Hackathon dedicated to a smart and sustainable future for graduated and graduand profile in STEM(A) [Stem + Art]. The aim of the event, focused on the topics of Sustainability and Gender Gap, is to foster the association of STEM skills with the once developed during humanistic studies. HACK@MI is taking part in the project STEM in the City 2020 https://www.steminthecity.eu, supported by the ONU. ONU infact is supporting projects focused on Sustainability. 

When will it take place?

  • Online Qualification: from 01/04/2020
  • Final: 28/04?2020 - 24h data challenge 

Challenges description:

The online qualification will be developed on our platform Open Data Playground and it will last for two weeks. The final race instead will take place in Milan. 
All the qualifications are organized by Open Search Network in collaboration with the final clients that will support the event.


How to partecipate: 

STEM(A) graduated, graduand and professonist. The purpose is to solve problems in a data visualization and humanistic point of view. 
To participate it is mandatory to create a team, following the following restriction:

  • Minimum number of players: 5
  • Women enrolled in the team: 2
  • Number of players with a humanistic background: 2


How to sign up for the event?

Register on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/registrazione-hackmi-2020-92579352335?aff=ebdssbdestsearch) to have all of the news. You can sign up as: 

  • a Single and then join a team later on, also helped by the recruiter of Open Search Network
  • a Member of a Team and create a team (protected by a password shared by all the members of the team)

  • 03/02/2020: Opening of pre-registration on Eventbrite
  • 01/03/2020: Opening registration on Open Data Playground
  • from 01/04/2020 to 15/04/2020: Online Qualification
  • From 09:00 am of  28/04/2020 to 09:00 am of 29/04/2020: Final
